Purpose: Responsible for the profitability of the Region, the execution of the Regional business plan and objectives, implementing and upholding Company processes, and fulfilling the expectations of stakeholders (owners, customers, and employees). This role provides regional leadership in evaluating, allocating, and managing the human, physical and financial resources of the Region - while optimizing the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees, and the satisfaction of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the profitability of the region, responsible for the oversight of individual store profitability
  • Assists in developing regional plans including but not limited to:

o Execute on sales and aftermarket performance metrics, sales plans (new and used), location budgets

  • Leads the execution of business plans to achieve maintain target profit margins, including sales budget objectives and cost control and established market share goals
  • Manages employees directly reporting to the Regional Manager including performing duties related to employment, training/development, performance management and compensation plans - with assistance of the Corporate Support Team
  • Aligns with store managers - supporting the management of duties related to employment, training/development, performance management and compensation plans - with assistance of the Corporate Support Team
  • Ensures safety processes are effectively communicated and followed
  • Supports the development and helps to maintain a positive relationship with existing and new customers and resolves any elevated customer issues
  • Ensures that appropriate communication takes place within and across all departments at the regional store location(s) to include leading regional staff meetings and supporting
  • Supporting Store Managers regular management staff meetings and all employee meetings
  • Communicates and demonstrates the values, principles, vision, and mission of the company within their region
  • Communicates with the Corporate Support Team and other Region managers to develop and implement best practices and consistent processes for all departments within the organization
  • Ensures the successful planning and execution of marketing activities and events
  • Oversees Store Manager ownership of; maintenance, security, and ensures a professional appearance of facilities, properties, and other company assets within the Region
  • May support the company in the sale of machinery to key customers as needed
  • Works with the Corporate Management team to drive sales, maintain target profit margins and ensure appropriate inventory and turn levels within the Region
  • Make the CEO and HR Manager aware of employee issues to ensure alignment in appropriate actions

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 5+ years managing people
  • 5+ years in a retail environment
  • Agriculture and Turf industry background & knowledge
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Experience dealing with elevated customer and organizational issues
  • Ability to lead and motivate others within a team environment
  • Knowledge of financial metrics and marketing effectiveness - along with a solid understanding of sales, parts and service operations
  • Proven analytical, business planning, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or equivalent experience required
